Stop fiddling with SD card sockets in the back of your latest gadget, and streeeeeeeeeetch out with a Micro SD Card Extender . This simple, but effective device gives you a long flexible cable, a psuedo Micro SD card on one end, and a matching micro SD card socket on the other. Plug in the card half and attach the socket wherever you like. This is a great hack for length constraints with 3D printers, single-board computers, data-logging kits and more. Get to your micro SD card in and out and safeguard against wear and tear.

The sockets are push-push. Insert the card in to lock, and press in again to release it. There’s a wee pictogram on the socket which shows the correct orientation. We used this with a Replicator 3D printer (using an adapter), various Feathers, and also a Raspbery Pi 3 Linux computer and it was speedy and error free, but it is a hack, so be aware that high-speed and high-noise environments may end up not working.

Arrêtez de jouer avec les connecteurs de carte SD à l’arrière de votre dernier gadget et sortez avec un adaptateur de carte Micro SD. Cet appareil simple mais efficace vous offre un long câble flexible, une carte micro SD psuedo à une extrémité et un connecteur de carte micro SD assorti à l’autre extrémité. Branchez la moitié de la carte et branchez la prise où bon vous semble. Il s’agit d’un excellent hack pour les contraintes de longueur avec les imprimantes 3D, les ordinateurs à carte unique, les kits d’enregistrement de données, etc. Rentrez et sortez votre carte micro SD et protégez-vous contre l’usure.

Les prises sont push-push. Insérez la carte pour la verrouiller et appuyez à nouveau pour la libérer. Il y a un petit pictogramme sur la prise qui indique la bonne orientation. Nous l’avions utilisée avec une imprimante 3D Replicator (avec un adaptateur), divers Feathers et également un ordinateur Linux Raspbery Pi 3. C’était rapide et sans erreur, mais c’est un hack, alors sachez que la vitesse élevée et le bruit élevé les environnements peuvent finir par ne pas fonctionner.
